Inward Papercuts

This inward design is an original technique developed by SmallRiniLady. She cuts negative space out of each sheet to allow the colours from below to be seen. When seen from the front it is an illusion of depth. You see the hands in front of the body, hair in front and behind the face. But when you tilt the piece you realize that the character is sunken in from the surface; the surface paper is merely a mask that provides a frame for the character's' silhouette.
